Terms of service

Last updated 3 November 2026. The service is provided by Abigail Edith Stevenson, trading as Rasslingo, Bangkok, Thailand ("we"). Contact: hello@rasslingo.app. By ticking the box at sign-in and creating an account you agree to these terms.

The service

Rasslingo is an AI speaking tutor for the languages listed in the app. The tutor is generated by an AI model. It is good, but it is not a human teacher and it can make mistakes, including in grammar, pronunciation guidance and cultural notes. Check anything that matters, especially before an exam. Exam names (JLPT, HSK, TOPIK, IELTS, DELE, Celpe-Bras, TORFL) belong to their organisations; Rasslingo is not affiliated with or endorsed by any of them, and using the app does not guarantee any exam result.

Your account

You sign in with a Google account that you control. One person per account; keep it to yourself. You must be 16 or older. To buy a paid plan you must also be able to enter a binding contract where you live.

Free trial, plans and payment

• New accounts get a free trial of 3 days with the Starter limits. No card is needed for the trial.
• After the trial you choose a plan. Plans renew automatically every month or year until you cancel. Prices are shown in US dollars before you pay; taxes may be added depending on where you are.
• Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders: it sells the subscription to you, charges your card, issues the invoice and adds any tax that applies where you live. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns. You can change your card, download invoices or cancel from Settings, then Manage billing. Cancelling stops the next renewal; you keep access until the end of the period you paid for.
• Refunds are processed by Paddle under its Buyer Terms. In addition, we refund any charge on request within 14 days of that charge. If you are a consumer in the EU or UK you have a 14-day right of withdrawal; by starting to use a paid plan right away you agree that the service begins immediately and that the right ends when the 14 days do.
• If a payment fails we will retry and tell you; if it keeps failing the plan ends.
• We may change prices. Existing subscribers get at least 30 days' notice by email before a new price applies to them, and can cancel before it does; the new price only applies from the first renewal after the notice period.

Fair use and daily limits

Each plan includes a daily amount of voice minutes, tutor replies and searches, shown in Settings. The limits reset every day at midnight UTC. They exist because every minute of speech costs us real money with our AI providers. Do not use automated tools, share accounts, or try to work around the limits; we may close accounts that do.

Refunds

Refunds are processed by Paddle under its Buyer Terms. In addition, we refund any charge on request within 14 days of that charge. If you are a consumer in the EU or UK you have a 14-day right of withdrawal; by starting to use a paid plan right away you agree that the service begins immediately and that the right ends when the 14 days do. To ask for a refund, write to hello@rasslingo.app. Where the law where you live gives you stronger rights, those apply.

Acceptable use

Use the app to learn languages. Do not use it to produce or spread content that is illegal, abusive or harmful to others, do not try to break into it, do not copy the app's code for another product, and do not scrape the app or call its API with automated tools. The bundled word lists are not covered by this: they keep their own open licences (listed on the sources page) and you may reuse them under those licences.

Your content

What you say in the app is yours. You give us permission to process it as described in the privacy policy so the tutor can answer and remember. You can download or delete it at any time from Settings.

Availability and changes

We aim to keep the app running all the time, but it depends on third-party AI and voice services, so there will be hiccups. We may add, change or remove features. If a change materially reduces what your plan includes, we will tell you in advance and you may end the agreement at any time by cancelling or deleting your account. If we ever close the service we will give at least 30 days' notice and refund any prepaid time beyond that date.

Liability

The app is provided as is. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses, lost exam results, or anything the AI tutor says. Our total liability to you is limited to what you paid us in the last 12 months. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

Ending the agreement

You can delete your account whenever you like from Settings. We can suspend or close accounts that break these terms, with a refund of unused prepaid time unless the breach was serious.

Law

These terms are governed by the law of Thailand, and disputes go to the courts there, unless consumer law where you live says otherwise. If you are a consumer in the EU or UK you keep the protection of your local law and may bring claims in your local courts.
